Bachelor of Business Administration - Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Global logistics and supply chain has been the backbone of economic growth. It facilitates the physical, information, and financial flows across borders. As a result, almost all industries need logistics supply chain professionals. Logistics and supply chain management is a highly specialized field and offers challenging, but rewarding careers. The College of Business Administration's Logistics and Supply Chain Management program is designed to develop students' professional business logistics and supply chain skills and knowledge. We offer a wide range of concentration courses, from Supply Chain Operations to Global Logistics and Purchasing Management. The courses contain the latest business theories and cases, which help students better understand logistics and supply chain concepts.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Logistics and Supply Chain Management students will start with general and core courses and then progress to eleven courses in the concentration and free electives. As part of this specialization, students will have the opportunity to learn more about Transportation and Distribution, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Global Logistics. Our concentration courses contain practical labs, logistics and supply chain simulations, and often invite industry guest speakers to demonstrate real-world business cases. Additionally, students are given the option for the internship placement, providing them with an opportunity to gain practical experience prior to graduation.
PROFESSIONAL BODY ACCREDITATION
American University in the Emirates has been recognized as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P). This recognition allows the College of Business Administration to equalize all offered Project Management courses at undergraduate and graduate levels to attending certificate preparation courses in PMP. As a result, all students in the logistics concentration will be eligible to take the exam and achieve the prestigious PMP certification.
