Australian College of Applied Professions

A deep understanding of human behaviour runs through our courses. Understanding why we do what we do, and how it’s possible to make a lasting difference to the health of humanity. The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) is a tertiary education institute that specialises in psychology. Which means we seek to understand and make sense of it all. What makes people do the things they do? What effect does society have on our actions? Why do we behave a certain way by ourselves, but differently in groups? What leads us to do good, to do bad, what are the thoughts running around inside our head?

This approach to teaching is what makes us different. It’s why curious souls choose to learn and develop their skills with us. Whether you want to excel in counselling, coaching, social work, criminology or clinical psychology, it all starts and ends with human behaviour. ACAP’s psychology degrees are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), and our higher education counselling degrees are accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
ACAP is proud to be the first Independent Education Provider member of the Pride In Diversity network. The Australian network is the first and only national not-for-profit program supporting all aspects of LGBTI workplace inclusion.

The ACAP community can benefit from the support and initiatives run by each on campus ALLY network. The purpose of ALLY at ACAP is to support the enactment of equity, diversity and inclusion and to ensure an inclusive environment that will allow all staff and students to thrive and achieve to the highest level.
