Thousands of Indian students are packing their bags and getting set to fly to America to join classes at undergrad, masters and PhD levels in different universities and subjects. It is also time for the next batch, the Class of 2023, to start planning ahead for the journey to study in America. EducationUSA, the official source of information about US higher education, is holding US University Virtual Fairs 2022 on two consecutive Saturdays, September 3 and 10, 2022; and these could be the starting point to get answers to many questions on higher education in the US.

The fairs will provide an online platform for students and their parents to interact with more than 100 accredited US universities and colleges. The event is free, but registration is required.

The participating US higher education institutions offer a range of academic programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels throughout the United States. The discussions with US universities, EducationUSA advisers, and US Embassy representatives will help students make informed choices about U.S. higher education, learn about the US student visa application process, and understand several other aspects of studying and living in the United States.

US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Patricia Lacina welcomed students to explore the diversity of US study opportunities at the fairs. “The United States welcomes Indian students, and we value their contributions to US campuses and communities. Much of the 75 years of US-India diplomatic relations is built on the exchange of knowledge and the lifelong friendships rooted in study abroad.”

Adam Grotsky, executive director of the United States-India Educational Foundation, added, “EducationUSA India is committed to providing easy access to information about US higher education through our many online resources, such as our virtual fairs. We invite students to use this opportunity to move closer to their dreams of studying in the United States. We also encourage parents to participate in these virtual fairs and interact directly with representatives from U.S. higher-education institutions, all from the safety and comfort of their homes or offices.”
