Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Instrumentation Control & Automation Engineering)
With a focus on the various aspects of mechanical and fluid engineering in the heavy industries, you will study the control and monitoring of industrial processes through computer networks and experience practical, hands-on study. Your first year of the course will give you the opportunity to explore all areas of the engineering field to allow you to take charge of your own career. You also have an opportunity to increase your knowledge further and combine your major studies with a four-unit minor in Management or Data Management. USQ's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) will allow you to apply your knowledge through practical work experience, access to professional facilities and an exciting final year research project that will allow you to become industry ready. After you graduate you'll be qualified to work in a varied field of industries including mining, transportation and health and as a Process Control Engineer or Instrumentation Control and Automation Engineer.

- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
