Bachelor of Biomedical Science
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science has been designed to equip you with a fundamental understanding of the human body, how it works and what goes wrong in disease. The degree includes core subjects that incorporate biomedical fields such as cell biology, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, immunology and pathology to develop your core knowledge of the cellular and molecular processes that are fundamental to human function and the origins of disease. You’ll learn how diseases develop and how they can be prevented, treated or cured.
Depending on your future career aspirations, you’ll have the flexibility to choose your minor to compliment your area of interest.

- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- You must have successfully completed a qualification recognised by RMIT as equivalent to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) with a minimum average of 65%.
