BMus (Hons) Music

Develop your performance skills in modules that focus on solo and ensemble performance, with accompaniment provision (where appropriate).

With pathways in performance, composition and research-based modules, the BMus (Hons) Music degree gives you the flexibility to map out your future, with an impressive range of compulsory and optional modules.

Our lecturers are practising performers, composers, conductors, music therapists and musicologists. Passionate about our teaching, we’re proud that 100% of our students agreed that our 'staff are good at explaining things' and 'have made the subject interesting' (National Student Survey 2021).

We are proud of our state-of-the-art facilities and well-equipped practice rooms that offer 24/7 access, and we’re one of the few music departments in the country to offer an undergraduate module in Music Therapy.

The course provides the opportunity to study at a partner university overseas, or complete a work placement in industry.
