Bachelor Of Biomedical Science

In the Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree students, will combine the fields of biology, pharmacology and medicine, as well as aspects of anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, immunology, cell and molecular biology, physiology and neuroscience.

The degree will teach them about the human body, its structure and its functions. This includes understanding how diseases manifest and how drug strategies are used to treat these diseases. Students will also learn the practical skills needed to explore the underlying molecular basis of acute and chronic illnesses, understand how to apply biomedical research and how to convey scientific and biomedical science information.

PSW Opportunity

The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

GCE ‘A’-Levels minimum 8 in total for the best 3 H2 subjects or, STPM 8.67 in total for the best 3 academic subjects, and min. grade C for Chemistry; OR equivalent
Local Science-related diploma in relevant areas; OR equivalent
Local Engineering diploma with Calculus Mathematics background and has a ‘C’ average grade may be considered; OR equivalent
PSB Academy Foundation Diploma in Life Sciences with an average Pass, and with a Pass in each of the units; OR
Advanced standing may be given for approved Diploma courses upon a final Diploma result;
