Bachelor of Science (Hons) Cybersecurity and Networks

The overall aims of the programme are to:

Produce graduates who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the rapidly changing discipline of cybersecurity and networks, and appreciate its growing impact on modern living.
Produce graduates who will uphold the legal, ethical and professional standards expected of a cybersecurity and networks specialist.
Enable students to acquire a range of practical, professional and transferable skills to equip them to contribute to their chosen profession in cybersecurity or computer networks, or to pursue further studies.
Enable students to engage with current research issues to consolidate their knowledge base and understanding of currently available technologies and emerging trends in cybersecurity and computer networks.
Develop students’ cognitive and critical reflection skills to equip them for enterprise, employment and further academic research.
Provide an industry and commercially relevant web production education for students from a variety of subject backgrounds and/or employment experience utilising appropriate modes of study.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be of age 17 & above and posses ONE of the following entry requirements:

For Year 1 entry

GCE 'A' Level with 2 'A' and 2 'AO' passes

Non business-related diplomas from local polytechnics

Other PEI's qualifications with entry requirement of 10 years of formal foreign education

International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art

For Year 2 entry

MDIS Diploma in Management Studies

Business-related diplomas from local polytechnics

Other PEI's business qualification (equivalent to 1st year of External Degree Programme) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal foreign education

Higher National Diploma or at least one year of study at a degree level in other field

English Language Requirements

IELTS 6.0 (with no element below 5.5)

TOEFL internet based test (IBT) 75 (Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20, Writing 18)

Pearson PTE 56 (no element lower than 51)

Cambridge English Test Advanced - 169 (no element below 162)

MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE)

Pass MDIS English Placement Test

Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English
