B.A (HONS) JOURNALISM WITH PUBLIC RELATIONS

By combining journalism and public relations, this programme offers the chance to benefit from both disciplines, which is hugely advantageous when it comes to employability. Many organisations are now looking for graduates who are skilled in both areas.

Taught by professional journalists and PR practitoners, you will be encouraged to experiment across a range of platforms in order to deliver cutting edge and dynamic news and PR-related content.

You will learn how to investigate, record, write, edit, present and produce news for online, print, radio and television, and adapt these skills to be relevant to the PR arena.

We aim to produce graduates capable of hitting the ground running as competent journalists and/or PR practitioners, with professional multimedia and digital skills.

You will: 

  • Study in our state-of-the-art digital media campus at MediaCityUK, with access to state-of-the-art facilities 
  • Be taught by professional journalists and PR practitioners 
  • Be able to choose from module options that offer a range of genres of journalism and PR – from celebrity to political, music to sport

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

GCSE

English Language at grade C/level 4 or above (or equivalent). Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.

You must fulfil our GCSE entry requirements as well as one of the requirements listed below

Undergraduate

The following grades are normally required (exam board in brackets): 50% (West Bengal), 55% (ISC, awarded by CISCE), 60% (CBSE), 65% (all other state boards) for undergraduate study.
