B.SC (HONS) MARKETING

Designed around the needs of employers, best practice and current trends, the BSc Marketing degree at Salford Business School provides you with a strong business education in preparation for an exciting career in a fast-paced environment.  You will study at our Salford campus close to Manchester city centre.

Industry relevance is central to marketing programmes at Salford Business School. As a marketing student, you’ll benefit from our industry links through the inclusion of guest speakers from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, providing you with an insight into how different organisations market themselves in different environments.

With the opportunity to take part in a work placement following your second year, you’ll have the chance to take what you’ve learned through your studies, and put it into practice in a real business situation. If you choose to undertake a professional experience year, not only will your career prospects benefit, but you will not pay tuition fees for that year and will earn a wage for the work you do.

Our academic and professional services teams are here to support you throughout your degree and prepare you for your future career. In 2020, 100% of students asked agreed that staff are good at explaining things; 100% agreed that the IT resources and facilities provided have supported their learning well; and 100% agreed that the course has provided opportunities to bring information and ideas together (University of Salford analysis of unpublished NSS 2020 data).

Still not convinced Marketing is for you?  Josh Melvin graduated in 2018 and is Global Marketing Manager at Agilent Technologies; he says about his job “It's been non stop learning since I started. It's good, you never get a chance to feel complacent, because something else new, exciting and challenging comes your way.  So it's quite fast paced, I've been given quite a lot of responsibility. But then also I was given it in a way that allows me to really grow as a professional.”

This programme is also delivered in Bahrain by our partner, British University of Bahrain; visit their website to find out more.
