Graduates of the combined course who wish to become legal practitioners complete an accredited program of practical legal training following completion of award requirements.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 105 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.5 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 615 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 76 overall and a minimum result of 68 in each band

Admission to this course is on the basis of the following criteria:

a secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
English language requirements where these are not demonstrated by sufficient qualifications taught in English.
Admission pathways are open to domestic applicants on the basis of equity or other adjustment factors, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. For details, visit admission pathways.

Assumed knowledge
Mathematics. Other assumed knowledge depends on the first-year subjects selected. 

Prerequisites
Mathematics (an equivalent of band 4 in the NSW HSC subject Mathematics* or band E3 in Mathematics Extension 1 or 2) from 2019, if you are completing a senior secondary (year 12) qualification in Australia. *The subject requirement refers to Mathematics (not Mathematics General or Mathematics Standard), or Mathematics Advanced which will be first examined in the NSW HSC in 2020.

Transfer: 
You can apply to transfer into the Combined Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws after your first year of tertiary study. You will be assessed on either your tertiary or secondary grades, whichever is higher. If you have not studied at tertiary level for at least one year full-time in the same degree, you will be assessed according to your secondary qualifications only. If you are unsuccessful in a transfer application at the end of the first year you can reapply after the second year. The credit transfer policies of the Law School and its partner faculties are used when determining the amount of credit for previous studies. However, it is not possible to complete Combined Law within five years if you  transfer after more than one year of university study.
