ARTS AND HUMANITIES WITH FOUNDATION YEAR (BA)

The BA Arts and Humanities with Foundation Year is designed to prepare you for undergraduate study in the wide-range of subjects taught in the School of Arts in the Department of Cultures and Languages; English, Theatre and Creative Writing; Film, Media and Cultural Studies; and History of Art. You will take two innovative study skills modules and also have the opportunity to take modules introducing you to the many exciting ways in which we study the Arts. It is also possible to take a beginner- or intermediate-level language module (French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish) as part of the Foundation Year.

The programme allows you to build your confidence, gain core knowledge and key skills needed to succeed in undergraduate degrees in the Arts. You will get a taste of the specific subjects you are interested in and an understanding of their career potential.

Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you can choose either to progress on to our three-year, full-time evening study BA Arts and Humanities, or one of the following three-year, full-time evening study undergraduate programmes. You need only complete one application and you enrol onto one programme.
