Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved the following minimum entry requirement and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.

• A completed bachelor degree (AQF level 7) or higher in a health-related field from a recognised higher education institution; OR
• A completed bachelor degree (AQF level 7) or higher in a non-health field from a recognised higher education institution, plus the equivalent of 12 units (0.250 EFTSL) of dedicated Human Anatomy and Physiology undertaken at AQF Level 7 (bachelor degree level) or higher.

Essential requirements

• Prior to admission, applicants must meet some professional registration requirements set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). These include the English Language Skills standard. Applicants will complete a declaration stating how they demonstrate English language proficiency, which in some cases may require provision of English language test results.
• Upon entry to the program, all students must confirm they meet Fitness to Practice in Clinical Placements requirements.

This degree requires a Grade Point Average (GPA) equivalent to an Adelaide University 5.0 on a 7-point scale for entry.

Additional requirements

Students must meet the relevant requirements associated with Professional Experience Placement (PEP) prior to commencement. PEP is an essential and compulsory part of this program. PEP may be allocated across the calendar year, outside of usual teaching weeks. Students are required to complete PEP full time (40 hours/week), some weekend and shift work will be required. PEP cannot be completed on a part time basis unless offered by the clinical setting.
