Our Master of Engineering (Biopharmaceutical) is suitable for chemical engineering and biological science graduates, as well as engineers with relevant work experience.

With our elective-driven degree structure, you can tailor your studies to your specific chemical engineering interests and career goals. Whether that’s drug discovery and development, application of next generation sequencing, science commercialisation and innovation – or something else entirely – you’ll find plenty of options.

Core courses in engineering management and data analytics enable you to deepen and formalise your project management expertise.

Adelaide City, Mount

The campus encompasses precincts at both the east and west ends of the city. Adelaide City Campus – West features cutting-edge creative studios and modern learning spaces, as well as unique facilities like the Architecture Museum and SASA Gallery. Adelaide City – West is also surrounded by live music venues, and borders Adelaide’s biomedical precinct, where significant and groundbreaking medical research occurs.

Mawson Lakes

Adelaide University’s Mawson Lakes Campus is set alongside 114 hectares of wetlands within the world-class Mawson Lakes residential development. Just 12 kilometres and approximately 20 minutes' drive from the city centre, the campus is next to Technology Park, which is home to several global space, technology, and defence companies, many of which have partnered with the University.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved at least one of the following minimum entry requirements and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria.

  • A completed bachelor (AQF level 7) or bachelor honours (AQF level 8) degree or equivalent in science, engineering, technology or a related field from a recognised higher education institution.
