While incidents of cyber-attacks in the automotive manufacturing sector have notably increased in recent years, many companies are working toward developing and implementing processes to identify and/or respond to security breaches. It has been determined that ISO/SAE 21434 will be the international industry standard used as the baseline for vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to ensure cybersecurity risks are managed. This will lead to an increased demand for cybersecurity specialists in the automotive manufacturing sector. Windsor-Essex has positioned itself to be able to lead the way in automotive, and manufacturing cybersecurity and to become a hub within the industry.

Graduates of this program may typically find employment in both the automotive cybersecurity field as well as the broader category of manufacturing and supply chain cybersecurity fields. Graduates may also find employment in the utilities and finance sectors.

Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP):
Graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Desire to stay in Canada temporarily for work.

Important Note:
Graduating from a DLI doesn't automatically qualify you for a PGWP.

Validity of PGWP:
Depends on the length of the study program or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.

Duration of PGWP Based on Study Program Length:
Less than 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials): Not eligible for PGWP.
At least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials), but less than 2 years: PGWP may be granted for the same length as the study program (e.g., a 9-month program results in a 9-month PGWP).
2 years or more: PGWP may be valid for 3 years.

Completion of Multiple Programs:
PGWP may combine the lengths of each program if:
Each program is PGWP eligible.
Each program is at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials) in length.

Important Restriction:
You cannot obtain a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier program of study.

For Diploma, Degree and Graduate Certificate Programs

At St. Clair College all courses are taught in English and to be successful in a program, your English communication, listening, comprehension, reading and writing skills must be at a level to meet the demands of your program.

General diploma programs admission requirement for international students are as follows:

Canada & USA: High school diploma and transcript, or equivalent.

British education system: General Certificate of Education showing passes in six (6) academic subjects (including English) at the Ordinary level.

Caribbean countries (English): High school diploma and transcript, or equivalent.

Philippines: High school diploma (Grade 12) and transcript, or equivalent, or High School diploma (Grade 10) and a minimum of one year Post-Secondary education and Transcript.

West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, etc.): WAEC (or NECO) transcript with online verifying scratch card number and PIN required.
