Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design)

This hands-on program gets you involved with the design of realistically detailed products suitable for manufacture with a focus on real-world industry engagement.

Your studies include learning the creative design process, technical aspects of product design, design management, computer-aided industrial design (CAID) technology, human factors and ergonomics, and design research, coupled with innovation, aesthetics, marketing, cultural and social values, and design leadership.

You will be prepared for your career with a range of activities and opportunities such as hands-on design units, project presentations, international study tours, entrepreneurial incubation programs, and real-world internships. You'll also benefit from our strong collaborative links with world-class international and national industry professionals.

Bachelor of Laws (Honours)

The defining nature of our law degree is the unique balance between theory and practice. During your degree, you will complete the academic law units required for admission to legal practice, and choose elective units that align with your career interests.

Through your study, you will develop necessary legal skills such as legal research, problem-solving, dispute resolution, and oral and written communication.

Our course will also help you understand and promote the ethical standards of the legal profession and to appreciate international and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.

Gardens Point

Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane's city centre, beside the Brisbane River and adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland Parliament House. At the centre of the campus is the Old Government House which was built in 1862 and re-opened in 2009.The faculties of Business, Law, and Science and Engineering are based at this campus.

PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

India

Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT recognized state education boards with an overall average of 85% in best five academic subjects (2 languages and 3 academic subjects), excluding physical education.
Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by CISCE with an overall average of 75% in best five academic subjects (two languages and three academic subjects), excluding physical education.
All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by CBSE with an overall average of 75% in best five academic subjects (two languages and three academic subjects), excluding physical education.
