M.A. in Counseling Psychology
The MA in Counseling Psychology is a graduate degree that prepares students for counseling of individuals, couples, children, and families; consulting; agency affiliations; church/ministry affiliations; and doctoral preparation. It is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology prepares students having an interest in the mental health professions with a firm foundation of psychological theory, research, spiritual formation, and preparation as practitioners. It prepares students for the challenges of the mental health profession by applying current psychological theory integrated with biblical principles throughout the curriculum. Instructors are scholars and practitioners, offering both academic and practical guidance. Built on a cohort model, the program facilitates long-term relationships, supportive growth, and guided professional development. The M.A. in Counseling Psychology program is carefully designed to meet California state requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Additional Requirements: International students may need to provide a copy of their valid passport, official transcripts (possibly evaluated), a personal essay, and potentially TOEFL or IELTS scores.
Financial Support: They will also need to provide a financial support statement, such as a bank statement and sponsor letter.
Age: Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the course's beginning.
On the TOEFL exam the minimum score requirement is a 550 on the paper-based test (PBT) or a 90 on the internet based test (iBT).
