BA (Hons) English with Creative Writing with Year Abroad

Our BA in English with Creative Writing will give you a sound knowledge base in literature, along with the all-important tools you need to become a writer.
You'll gain a deeper understanding of literary history and theory, exploring subjects from medieval literature and Shakespeare to modernism, postcolonialism and contemporary writing.
Headed by established novelist and educator Patrick Flanery, the creative writing element of the course is designed to help you find your voice, develop your practical skills and techniques, and give you an insight into the process of writing.
You'll have the opportunity to grow and flourish as a writer in a safe and supportive environment, whether in prose, poetry or creative non-fiction.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
FOR INDIA
- Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications.
We also consider students from India with the following qualifications:
- Standard XII examinations
Students who have achieved in the range of 60% to 80% may be considered for entry onto the International Foundation Year.
FOR BANGLADESH
- Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications.
- Excellent HSC students who have achieved 80%+ (CGPA 5.0) in the HSC may be considered for entry to 4 years undergraduate Programmes. Scores at this level are rare, and denote exceptional achievement and academic ability.
FOR SRI LANKA
- Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications.
FOR NEPAL
- Students who have successfully completed A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate degrees. We may also consider recognised Foundation qualifications.
