The Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments (Software Technologies) degree provides you with skills in IT development for computing gaming and visualization technology. You will develop an understanding of the principles underlying modern computer graphics systems and an appreciation for how such principles help in the design and development of computer games and simulations.
You will gain a broad knowledge across the field of game and interactive environment development, and develop a depth of understanding in the software technology discipline. You will be able to apply creative, critical and reflective practice and multi-disciplinary theory to game design and development problem-solving processes, as well as apply modeling and abstraction techniques within complex game animation domains.
You will gain experience in the whole process of game and interaction development, from identification and evaluation of ideas, creation of design concepts, a critique of existing and potential products, analysis of the cultural impact and industry trends, right through to the development and delivery of a final product.
This course is a collaboration between the faculties of Science and Engineering, and Creative Industries, which means you'll have access to experts in both design and technology.

Gardens Point
Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane's city centre, beside the Brisbane River and adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland Parliament House. At the centre of the campus is the Old Government House which was built in 1862 and re-opened in 2009.The faculties of Business, Law, and Science and Engineering are based at this campus.
